This is a full time contract position with the possibility of permanent employment upon successful evaluation.
This position is based in Singapore or Malaysia. Please state your preference.
Responsibilities
- Create 3D models for the game, including characters, environments, props, UI elements
- Create animation rigs and collision bounding volumes
- Work with designers and programmers to manage the content creation and tools pipeline and implement 3D assets into the game
Requirements
- Proven abilities in modeling and rigging high quality 3D assets within technical specifications, including various level-of-detail (LOD) levels
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and animation tools such as Max, Maya, Softimage
- Traditional fine art skills in drawing, colour, lighting
- Ability to create 3D models and scenes from concept art or reference materials, with high quality lighting and compositional techniques
- Ability to quickly conceptualize ideas with rich pool of ideas and good versatility in art styles
- Ability to receive and provide suggestions for art direction
- Ability to communicate and work well in a team with game designers, engineers, and management
- Ability to take direction, initiative to take ownership of problems, conduct independent research, and formulate solutions
- Passion for games, art, and learning
Desirables
- Preferably with 1 year experience in game art, CG, graphics design, or a related field; however, fresh graduates with good portfolios and references will also be seriously considered
- Proficiency in drawing, anatomy, visual effects
- Proficiency in animating various sequences and styles (humanoid movement, creatures, etc)
- Experience creating 3D models and animations for games, CG, or cinematics
- Ability to use or create shaders for material effects
